About the ACT and SAT The ACT and SAT are two competing college entrance exams. Almost all colleges and universities in the US require one of these two tests as part of their admissions requirements. Most colleges will now take either one of the tests. The Test Experts recommends that students try out both tests to see which one is a better fit.
