About Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement (AP) tests are administered by The College Board (same company that does the SAT).
AP tests are a great way for high school students to get college credit while still in high school.
Having several APs on your transcripts is a way to show college admissions officers that you pushed yourself in high school.
Scores for each section are out of 200-800. A perfect score on each section results in 1600 overall SAT score.
